The easy and economical way to dry and store all types of polyacrylamide and agarose gels. The unique pore configuration of BioDesignGelWrap allows the water in your gel to be readily evaporated directly through the BioDesignGelWrap membrane. BioDesignGelWrap bonds to both the gel surface and to itself. A dried gel is sealed between two layers of tough clear membrane.

Sandwich your gel between 2 wet pieces of BioDesignGelWrap on a BioDesignGelFrame. Either air dry a thin gel or use the BioDesign Lamp for heavier gels (>10%, gradient, or agarose gels).
All types of polyacrylamide and agarose gels can be readily dried and preserved including slab, gradient, 2D, immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoretic and enzyme activity gels.
The color of stains for proteins (brilliant blue, silver, etc.), glycoproteins, nucleic acids, and colored enzymatic products will remain stable for years.
BioDesignGelWrap and your gel will dry completely flat and wrinkle free. It will be flexible for safe and permanent storage.
Each BioDesignGelFrame is custom made to correctly fit your gel size.
